DAILY SCRIPTURE REFLECTION #149 - MATTHEW 6:25 [NKJV]

The topic I’ve chosen for today’s scripture reflection concerns us continuing to hold on to our concerns; in other words, anxiety.

“Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?”

NONFICTION BOOK REVIEW #2020-064 - Woman Thou Art VICTORIOUS

FOUR AMAZING GRACE TESTIMONIES

Every Christian woman shares in the sisterhood they belong to, whether or not they know. Each time a Christian woman’s “sister” gives testimony of what they’ve endured and have ultimately found themselves being victorious over the situation they’d been in, Christian women will find it hard not wanting to join her sister in singing Amazing Grace.

In each of the four short, but empowering stories, the authors: Kendra Sikes, Brandi Jo Middleton, Carol Matthews, and Delilah Lilo Mukes, relate the personal accounts of what they had to endure and how through the grace of the Lord and their faith. These four authors managed to find themselves forever rid of their strife and VICTORIOUS regarding the rest of their lives as the faithful Christian women they are.

There are things which these four courageous authors have written about that many other Christian women can relate to since they might have experienced the same things, but luckily to a far lesser extent.

For wanting their readers to find the same sort of grit and determination they’d found as they overcome the trials and tribulations, they’re facing in their lives. And for wanting this, being the voracious reviewer of nonfiction Christian books I’ve become, I’ve given these four authors 5 STARS for their endeavor here.

DAILY SCRIPTURE REFLECTION #148 - JOHN 4:23 [NKJV]

Before I begin my Sunday substitute Christian religious service for today, there are two things I need to say.

First and foremost is that I need to ask for foregiveness from each of you who follow my daily scripture reflections, for not having posted any for the past two days. I feel the best way for me to start is to turn to the scriptures and offer everyone what we read in the second half of MARK 14:38 and MATTHEW 14:38 [NKJV]

“…The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Ever since the COVID-19 virus began taking hold of our daily lives I’ve been helping out in my community any way I could without putting myself in harm's way. Then I’ve got all my other Christian activities [reading/reviewing nonfiction Christian books, maintain my Christian blog – “Trying to Be a Good Christian Woman,” running my Facebook group for my Christian “sisters”]. While the desire to keep doing everything, as usual, had been strong, I’ve become just too tired to continue going and need some good old rest time.

The second thing I need to say is that with our favorite houses of worship finally beginning to reopen, this might be the final week I’ll be offering this substitute service [besides I’ve never gotten any feedback from those participating as to how they felt regarding my efforts in providing this much-needed service.

Now, the topic I’ve chosen for this week’s Christian service scripture reflection on my Christian blog asks the question of whether or not we’re worshipping our Lord in spirit and in truth.

“But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.”

THIS SUNDAY'S SUPPLICATION TO THE LORD #25

Christians, especially those who are believers, should be praising the Lord each day by offering a prayer regardless of how brief it might be. With the harried lives we’re living, it’s not always that easy to formulate one, and many might be homebound for one reason or another.  This is especially true now with the COVID-19 virus preventing us from going to church, which why I’ve decided to offer a weekly supplication on Sundays designed to suffice this need. If anyone desires to leave a comment regarding the prayer offering for today, please feel free to do so.

“Praised be thy name forever, our King, great and holy God and King, in heaven and on earth; for to thee, Lord our God, pertain song and praise, hymn and psalm, power and dominion, victory, greatness and might, renown and glory, holiness and kingship, blessing and thanks, henceforth and forever. Blessed art thou, O Lord, most exalted God and King, Lord of wonders, who art pleased with hymns, thou God and King, life of the universe.”

And with this, let us all answer, AMEN
